Press Release Summary = TD Williamson (Tusla, OK) saved $118,901.24 thanks to a
predictive maintenance analysis done by Peterson Predictive Maintenance (Hutchinson,
KS). Savings calculated are based on a comparison of reports from March of 2006 and
March of 2007

Press Release Body = Hutchinson, KS 3/27/2007 If a penny saved is a penny earned,
then TD Williamson in Tulsa, Oklahoma earned 12 million pennies with the help of
Hutchinson, Kansas-based Peterson Predictive Maintenance. A report done by Peterson
Predictive Maintenance in March of 2006 based on an analysis of machinery in the
pipeline equipment plant showed a cost from air and gas leaks of $140,692.10. Many
of the leaks cited were unidentifiable without the use of the infrared/ultrasound
equipment, and would have become larger problems before they were noticeable.
Necessary repairs were made, and an analysis was done again in March of 2007,
showing leak costs at $21,780.86 - a reduction from the previous year of 118,901.24.

Big savings are a common result of predictive maintenance. Methods of ultrasound and
infrared detection used by Peterson Predictive Maintenance can detect problems with
equipment before they result in major product loss or total equipment failure,
nipping them in the bud, so to speak. An example from the TD Williamson case is an
Argon leak that was found, which had a projected cost of $107,958.24, had it
continued with out being repaired. The most recent report found Argon leak projected
costs at $5,991.84 - a more than 95% reduction.

"We want to make maintenance staff an asset to companies by proving value with saved
money," explains Chuck Peterson, owner of Peterson Predictive Maintenance. Often
companies will downsize their maintenance crew, due to the fact that their work
generally yields no apparent profits, and is regarded as overhead. This can result
in an insufficient maintenance staff. A predictive maintenance analysis can
illustrate plainly the amount of money that can be saved when the equipment is
properly maintained.
